In 1994, Basil Newby MBE transformed a corner shop into the vibrant Funny Girls, an instant sensation in Blackpool. Soon outgrowing its origins, Funny Girls moved into the historic 1939 Odeon, reborn as the iconic Showbar in 2002. Over time, Funny Girls created unforgettable memories, like their ‘Swine Lake’ performance at the Royal Variety Show and a revealing 2013 documentary.
Celebrating 30 years of unparalleled entertainment in 2024, Funny Girls continues to enchant audiences with legendary performers like DJ Zoe, Betty Legs Diamond, and our newest ‘leading lady’ CeCe D’Vyne, promising a bright future of unforgettable moments.

Blackpool Tower
